Why should parents have open discussion when parents’ word is the law? It’s pretty much like this (in Karate Kid): “We make sacred pact. I promise teach karate to you, you promise learn. I say, you do, no questions.” Any question?

Who needs to read books or seeking advice from professionals when reverse psychology achieve the same thing? Classic example:

X: Mom, why can’t I date Y?

X’s Mom: why don’t you be like auntie Z’s daughter and date A, B, and C and make a name for yourself?
